Climbing with my mouth mommy...

So this may seem like a strange title for a blog, but let me explain. Corry started crawling at 7 1/2 months, and then immediately started pulling up on things. And he is very strong also, so he wants to climb on EVERYTHING. A funny thing that he has started to do is to use his mouth as an alternative hand hold. He puts both hands on something then bites it, and while he's holding on with his mouth, he moved his hands. I think it is adorable!

Life as a "Mormon"

"I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know who I am, I know God's plan, I'll honor him in faith. I believe in the savior Jesus Christ, I'll honor his name. I'll do what is right, I'll follow his light, his truth I will proclaim."- Children's Songbook #77

This is a song that I learned at church as a child. I have tried to live my life to honor my god and what I believe. I am proud to be a "Mormon." It is a big part of who I am because it influences the decisions that I make everyday. I hope that people will love me for who I am and not for what I do or do not believe, although they are closely related. With all of the media attention that our church is getting lately, I find lots of people that I have known for a long time making awful comments about members of this church because they do not believe the same as we do. I would ask these friends to vote for whoever they believe will lead this country the best, or don't vote at all if you don't agree with any of the candidates. But please don't make your decision based on someone's religion wether they be Mormon, Muslim, Catholic, Atheist, etc... Freedom should go all ways and should be extended to people's beliefs, wether we agree with them or not.

Friends at the park

Yesterday we went to the park with some friends from church for park group, and my friend came with her daughter. She is almost 2 months younger than Corry, but they are the same size, because she is tall and he is short. But they looked so cute that I just couldn't resist taking pictures.

So... I lost my camera cable... here we go!

Here are some of the things that have been happening lately. Sorry if it's a really long post, but there are lots of things happening... we might break it up into a few posts (maybe) :).
My First Bath
First Smile Caught on Camera
Mommy Loves Me, and My Crazy Hair
Four Generations
Sleeping on my Daddy
My Cool Hat from my Auntie Cathy
First Time Sitting in my Bumbo Chair
My first walk in the stroller. We walked to Wal-Mart. I slept for most of the way, but I think that I still had fun.

Great things come in small packages...

A truer sentiment doesn't exist. He is the smallest thing in my heart and besides his daddy, he takes up the most space. :)

These pictures were taken by my friend Sandy Allred of Timeless Allure Photography. She did such an amazing job. I am so glad that she was able to take his pictures for us.

Corry laughing out loud!

Last week while we were at Grandma Karen's house, I was playing with Corry and he started laughing so hard I thought I was going to die it was so cute. But by the time that mom got the iPod's video camera working he had stopped. I was so sad because I didn't know if it was going to be something that he would do regularly, or if it was a one time deal... So, I was a little sad. But today we were at Goosie and Duck Duck's house for family home evening with grandpa and grandma, and while Goosie was teaching the lesson, grandpa was (irreverently) playing with Corry, and he started laughing out loud again! It was just as adorable as, if not more than, the last time. So I am not worried that it won't happen again. I just have to realize that those little giggles are so precious and special that I have to take advantage of them so that I don't have to worry about losing them. I love this little boy so much. He is our little miracle boy and such a joy to have in our family. We are so blessed to be able to welcome him into our home. And I am so lucky to have Jeremy by my side every day as we embark on this new adventure and grow to love each other more each day by working and playing together. I am also glad to be close to all the grandmas and grandpas, they are such a blessing to us and to Corry. I don't know what I would do without them. We wish that all the Aunts and Uncles lived closer too, but that just means we have to enjoy the times when they are here, or we are there, that much more. :) We love you all!
