The Mens-aversary...

...or however you would say a one month anniversary... was on Monday December 1. We had a great day, and we were very happy. I (Iwalani) can't believe that we have already been married for an entire month. My husband is wonderful, and I love him. We had dinner on Monday night, to celebrate, at Fuddruckers. It was YUMMY! I have discovered the new bestest ever french fries, and what makes them even better is that they have wonderful nacho cheese that you can put all over them. It was pretty much the best dinner ever. And Jeremy had a bite of my crispy chicken sandwich and decided that he was never going to eat another Fuddruckers Hamburger ever again. We over all had a great night. I love the nights that I have off and I can spend with my husband. Well, I guess we will see what week 5 brings. Love you all!

Week Three is FINITO!

Well, we have been married three weeks yesterday! We got a kitchen table, a microwave stand, and an end table this week so that our microwave wasn't balanced atop a plastic rubbermade container anymore, and had our first dinner at our new Kitchen table sitting on chairs, not on the floor :). Jeremy got all of the dishes and kitchen equipment sorted and put away, and surprisingly, there was room. We also bought our first 2 games together... Loaded Questions, and Jenga. so we are going to buy one new game every month for the first year, and then we will just get them when we find one we like, that way we will always have things to do together.
I (Iwalani) changed my schedule at work so that I have Wednesday nights off so that we will be able to have a temple night each week. HOWEVER, I came home to take a nap before I went to meet Jeremy at work to go to the temple. I went to bed at 4:15 ish, and slept through my alarm. Through Jeremy texting me to say he was coming home to get me, through him coming in and trying to wake me up 5 TIMES, and then finally woke up about 6:38 and it was too late for the 7 o'clock session. So we decided I or maybe we, were too tired that night, and we went to the temple yesterday to see the sealing of Zach and Kaydrielle Pickett. It was very nice, and we got our temple time. I am going to have to sleep more during some point of my wednesdays though if we are really gonna make this happen. We love going to the temple together. And in fact that is one of the things that made me fall in love with my wonderful husband is the fact that he made time to take me to the temple every week the entire time that we were dating. It is a wonderful date idea just in case anyone was wondering.

Just one reason why my husband is wonderful...

We just moved into a new apartment when we were married, and are still in the unpacking phase. This means that we had all of the stuff we moved in from our respective residences, and then all the presents that we received at our reception/my bridal shower, all over the apartment. I spent all day going through things and washing dishes, and trying to figure out where to start organizing, and despite all my efforts when I left the apartment looked like an even bigger mess. So I went to work and then I came home very early in the morning to find a note from my husband on the door saying that he hoped that I liked the apartment and that he loves me and that he did it just for me. I opened the door and saw, not the messy apartment that I had left that evening, but a beautiful home where I could walk and it is organized, and there was a different spirit there. He worked all night to get it ready for me when I got home from work and I loved it. So this is one of many reasons I love the man I married.

The first week in the life of...

Jeremy and Iwalani Nichols. We were married, and live in Albuquerque, NM. We have an apartment full of stuff that we are still of yet trying to figure out what to do with. But it is much more importantly filled with love. The love we have for one another, and the love and support that others have shown for us through their kindness during this time. It was wonderful to have our families with us during this momentous event.

Thursday marked the first day that I made my husband breakfast in our apartment due to the fact that before that the only food in the apartment was half a sandwhich we got from Walmart, a container of ranch that my parents left, and juice that Jeremy bought when I was sick. Cranberry for me and apple for him because I am such a bad wife and asked for cranberry forgetting that he can't have it. I'm learning...

Now we are in Socorro NM on our honeymoon. We were deciding between Socorro and Santa Fe because we wanted to get out of Albuquerque, but didn't want to go to far because of time. I like the drive to Socorro better and Jeremy has been to Santa Fe, so Socorro it is. Since we have been here;Last night the first thing that we did was leave Jeremy's credit card at Burger King so we had to go get it so we could check in... I realised that I forgot my bathing suit, after picking the hotel because it has an indoor pool, and we had to go and get a make shift bathing suit at walmart, we tried to rent Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, only to get home and find out it is the British theatrical version, Jeremy almost lost his wedding band, and we almost missed breakfast because we slept in. The day is still young and we have another day to go, so we will see how the story unfolds, and what kind of adventures we will have on the last day of the first week of our new life together.
